Supplier Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks

  • Execution of supplier risk assessments.
  • Support in the evaluation, selection and approval of new potential BOS suppliers in cooperation with the cluster managers of central purchasing.
  • Tracking of action plans and corrective action implementation as part of audit Follow-Ups, escalations or day-to-day operations.
  • Continuously challenging the supplier´s process landscape according to the latest standards (IATF, VDA , AIAG, CSR) and requirements.
  • Proactive further development of existing suppliers in cooperation with all supplier hierarchy levels and functions and involvement of respective BOS departments (as required).
  • Support in escalation management and Follow-Up for existing series suppliers in close coordination with the respective BOS production plants.
  • Monitoring and support of critical suppliers.
  • Assessment and release of new potential BOS suppliers in cooperation with the cluster managers of central purchasing.
  • Definition and execution of systemic improvement plans for suppliers not meeting BOS expectations and goals.
  • Support the settlement of expenses causes by supplier issues in close collaboration with BOS production plants and central purchasing.

Profile

  • A technical degree in the field of quality, engineering or industrial engineering.
  • Professional experience in quality management in the automotive supply industry, ideally in supplier development.
  • Sound knowledge of quality methods and tools in the automotive industry.
  • Proven communication skills.
  • High level of self-management and –organization.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 55–60% of working time required for business trips).
  • English at a high level – you will communicate in English most of the time, and the recruitment process will also be conducted in English.
