Software Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks

  • Responsibility for the entire development process, from requirements elicitation through implementation and testing, to the delivery of a complete, production-ready solution.
  • Ensuring the smooth execution of assigned projects in close colaboration with EEI Concept Engineering, EEI Project Engineering, Product Development, Testing, or Pre Development.
  • Independent gathering of necessary requirements via internal organizational interfaces.
  • Documentation of all relevant work products.
  • Proactive and independent communication/escalation of critical issues.
  • Development of in house ECUs for product demonstrators and test setups (support for pre development, product development, and testing).
  • Maintenance and further development of the BOS test automation environment (support for testing).
  • Maintenance and further development of the BOS software library (basis for fast and flexible implementation of in house ECUs).
  • Coordination of the local ECU implementation team: software, hardware.
  • Support for component / system tests and product validations during series product development (support for EEI and testing).

Profile

  • A technical degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Vehicle Technology, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in developing technical concepts and creating specifications for automotive embedded systems.
  • Experience in designing scalable program structures.
  • Experience in developing embedded software in C/C++, including debugging and integration.
  • The ability to debug and run code on real hardware.
  • Experience with NXP µC, Arduino IDE, LIN interface, and Vector CANoe CAPL.
  • Experience applying established automotive development processes.
  • Basic hardware knowledge (this role is not purely software).
  • The ability to work in a structured way: breaking down large problems into smaller ones, setting priorities, and planning next steps.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Very high reliability and dependability.
  • Motivation, determination, ambition, and strong organizational skills.
