Senior Design Engineer (mf/d)

Tasks

• Design and design verification activities (CAD data, drawings, FMEA) in the assigned projects
• Definition of structures, assemblies and parts lists
• Technical coordination in the creation of principle/functional samples (prototypes)
• Coordination with MEI on technical feasibility and ease of assembly of design scopes
• Initiation of or participation in concept meetings, design reviews and approvals, simulations, FMEA as well as prototype and product validation meetings, and meetings with customers and suppliers
• Support in the estimation and preparation of a project-specific design budget
• Review of the product design concept and its specification with regard to the patent situation
• Participation in consulting and design support in the acquisition phase
• Derivation of product or product improvement ideas to increase profitability
• Coordination of further training measures with the Design Team Leader
• Customer contact during the entire project phase to control the development in the time schedule

Profile

• At least 5 years in product development automotive / mechanical engineering
• Design and layout of plastic and/or metal components
• Kinematic design of multibody systems
• Working along the product development process
• Safe and professional handling of CATIA V5
• Tolerance calculations and implementation in the drawings
• Providing CATIA V5 Trainings
• Proactive communication in the interfaces
• Experienced in complex mechanical / electromechanical systems
• High creativity to find technical solutions
• Team spirit
• Working with Microsoft Office Tools
