Junior Expert Plastics Technology (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation of new projects, acquisitions and running products
  • Technical support of product design units in designing plastic parts in cooperation with product engineering
  • Plausibility check, cost breakdown for injection parts and tools regarding new tools and engineering changes
  • Supporting supply chain in negotiations related to injection molding parts, tools, fixtures and gages
  • Demolding analysis of designed parts as well as fill & warpage studies (using CADMOULD)
  • Participate in definition of design and material standards
  • Elaboration and documentation of improvement potentials
  • Follow-up of the developed optimization proposals and support engineering at customer and supplier meetings
  • Support project teams by analyzing engineering changes and related costs (using change cost breakdown standard form)
  • Participate in creation of a database for materials
  • Participate in task force topics
  • Review of tooling design
  • Direct cooperation with Expert Plastic Technology

Profile

  • Materials Engineer or Mechanical Engineer, focus on plastic technology in the field of mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
  • Eng. or equivalent professional career
  • Experience in working with injection molds is welcome
  • Automotive Experience is welcome
  • Good knowledge of industry standards
  • Preferably experience as a tool designer/ toolmaker/ process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology (molding technician)
  • Experience in filling and warpage analysis
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Intercultural competence
  • English fluent (written & spoken)
  • German (nice to have)
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Familiar with MS Office tools
  • Good spatial imagination
  • Ability to explain topics on a high technical level
