Junior Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the detailed design into a technical documentation, considering customer-specific and legal requirements, as well as the company’s design and production standards
  • Technical contact for the assemblies or individual parts assigned to him
  • Preparation of 2D drawings according to the company’s standards and customer standards. Maintenance in PDM system. Integration of the JD & T system from the tolerance calculation
  • Design of individual parts in 3D according to the company’s standard methodology, if required in the customer’s current environmental data (body-in-white data and add-on parts)
  • Consider all necessary customer standards and the company’s standards in the drawing
  • Design activities (CAD data, 2D drawings, ECOs, parts lists, …) in the assigned projects
  • Identify and implement product or product improvement ideas to increase profitability
  • Dimensional tolerance considerations and implementation in the drawings
  • Incorporation of SC/CC features in the drawings
  • Support in the definition of the company’s standards
  • Support to set up functional samples and prototypes
  • Develop innovative solutions for new or improved components and products
  • The archiving of design documentation in the company’s data system (PDM)
  • Uphold company values such as trust, responsibility, communication, creativity, and innovation
  • Participate in ongoing technical training sessions led by experienced team members

Profile

  • Vocational training in mechanical or automotive engineering, or a similar field
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, precision engineering, or plastics technology (entry-level welcome)
  • Initial professional experience in the automotive sector
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Catia V5 for 2D and 3D design
  • Experience working with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens NX is a plus
  • Proficiency in English and Polish
  • German language skills are an advantage
  • Strong team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
